Candle Safety and Burning Instructions
At Curiosity Candles, each candle is hand-poured with care using natural soy wax and cotton wicks.
For your safety and enjoyment, please follow the guidance below whenever burning your candle.
General Candle Safety

- Never leave a burning candle unattended

- Keep candles away from drafts, curtains, pets, and children

- Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface

- Keep candles at least 10cm apart when burning multiple candles

- Do not move a candle while it is lit or while wax is hot
Burning Instructions

- Trim the wick to 5–7mm before each burn

- Allow the wax pool to melt evenly across the surface on the first burn

- Burn for no longer than 4 hours at a time

- Extinguish candles safely — do not blow wax
When to Stop Burning

- Stop burning when 10–15mm of wax remains

- Discontinue use if the flame becomes excessively large or smoky
Handmade & Decorative Candles
Some of our candles are designed to be mainly decorative but are safe to burn.

- Decorative or novelty-shaped candles may burn differently

- Always monitor closely and place on a suitable dish

- Trim wicks carefully to avoid uneven burning
After Use

- Allow wax to cool completely before handling

- Reuse or recycle packaging where possible
